Which children can be called often ill

According to statistics, children under 4 years old are often considered sick if they get sick more than 3-4 times a year. At the age of 4 to 7 years they need to be ill more than 3 times a year in order to fall into this category. If a child is sick less than 3 times, he can be considered an ordinary child.

Why do some children get sick more than others?

Poor nutrition and an unhealthy lifestyle are the first things you need to pay attention to if you want to strengthen the defenses of your child’s body. Everyone knows that a healthy diet, the absence of bad habits and hardening are the key to good health. It is important to remember that the most important thing in the diet of any person is vegetables. Two large plates of vegetables per day is the amount that will allow your child to stay healthy. What do children eat at school? Mostly sandwiches or buns. With such a “diet”, a child develops hypovitaminosis rather quickly, and the mineral content in the body decreases. And this is a direct road to diseases, especially to colds. Therefore, if you give your child a sandwich to school, be sure to give at least a carrot along with a sandwich.

What to do if the child does not like vegetables

This problem can well be dealt with. Now in health food stores they sell germinated grains of wheat and barley, they contain many vitamins and minerals. You can add a teaspoon to the porridge, and if the child refuses to eat such porridge because of the specific smell of the sprouted grains, let’s drink them in the morning with water or juice as a medicine.

Other causes of common illness

There are also constitutional features of children who have a decreased adrenal cortex function from the moment of birth. These are children in whose family someone, for example, has been ill with tuberculosis. They often have an increased Mantoux reaction. To such children are less likely to get sick, they need to support the adrenal cortex. For this, licorice (Viusid) or field horsetail (decoctions) are best suited. It is important that the doctor to whom you address the problem of frequent illnesses is not in a hurry to prescribe the entire spectrum of immunotropic drugs (drugs that affect immunity), but try to figure out why this child is actually sick.

The decrease in children the amount of gamma-interferon (the protein responsible for the immune system) is another reason for frequent diseases. Why is the functional activity of gamma interferon reduced? In fact, in all children from birth, the amount of gamma-interferon is reduced, it is equivalent to the adult indicator only by 7 years. If children, due to various circumstances, often get sick, their gamma-interferon decreases even more. And it turns out a vicious circle: gamma-interferon is reduced – the child is sick, the child is sick – gamma-interferon is reduced.

Is it possible to get out of this circle? Of course, there is the possibility of regulation. It is best to resort to the help of homeopathic medicines, for example, such as Anaferon for children.

If the reason for the decrease in immunity is a low amount of gamma-interferon, then no drug other than a drug containing interferon will not balance the amount of this substance. And if you use these drugs without a clear purpose, it can, on the contrary, imbalance the immune system, which is fraught with the appearance of complications and the transition of the process from acute to chronic. For example, in a patient with a common cold, and with improper treatment, we can get bronchitis. Therefore, before using immunotropic drugs, you need to make an immunogram that shows the number of lymphocytes, the activity of macrophages, as well as the content of interferons. Having a ready-made immunogram in your hands, consult about the use of certain drugs with an immunologist or allergist. Attention! Now there are many new drugs (for example, Protoflazid, Arbidol, Amizon, Amiksin), which are advertised on TV and recommended for children. These drugs have not passed clinical trials in a children’s clinic, the long-term effects of these drugs are unknown.

We come to another reason for frequent diseases in children – irrational treatment. According to advertising, we can cure any disease with a pill. Therefore, often mothers (not without the help of pediatricians) with a usual respiratory viral infection bring down the temperature of drugs, suppress cough, give the baby antibiotics and sulfonamides to prevent complications, etc. In this case, only the symptoms are removed with chemical drugs, while the disease itself goes to another level (joints, vascular dystonia, bronchitis, allergies, etc.). As a result, the use of chemicals to treat elementary viral infections further leads to the development of “cold” processes in the body, to the early development of sclerotic processes and cancer. Is it necessary to say that the child’s immune system is not training at this moment, but, on the contrary, is even more suppressed? For example, sulfonamides and antibiotics do not affect viruses, but for their unreasonable use for supposedly preventive purposes, we get the following:
