According to research, cats are extremely popular pets both in the world and in our country. The widespread occurrence of cats leads to the widespread high concentration of their allergens. The role of exposure to cat allergens in the development and course of allergic pathology, according to published data, remains controversial. Most researchers note the protective effect of an early exposure to cat allergens. At the same time, a number of studies have shown an increase in the risk of developing allergic diseases and a decrease in control over their course.
The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between the characteristics of the course of allergic pathology and the age of the first contact with cat allergens.

The effectiveness of the inhalation effects of natural essential oils in the comprehensive prevention of influenza and SARS in children
Influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) are, according to experts, the most widespread diseases and occupy a leading place in the structure of infectious pathology. According to WHO, during epidemic outbreaks of influenza, up to 15% of the population (3-5 million people) get sick, 250-500 thousand of them die. Approximately 20–40 million people per year fall ill with influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections in the Russian Federation, of which 40–60% are children.
The national report on the health of the population of Russia noted that the number of absolutely healthy children decreased to 10%, children with repeated SARS make up 70–75%, with chronic diseases – 15–20%. Today, in the practice of a pediatric ENT specialist, the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract in children remain an urgent problem. In 25-50% of children there are various inflammatory diseases of the nose, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses. According to statistics, the proportion of diseases of the paranasal sinuses is 12-14.5%, the ear – 28% and the nasopharynx – about 54%. Despite the progress of methods for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, an increase of 1.5–2.0% is observed annually in such patients.
