There are a number of infectious viral diseases that are commonly referred to as childhood diseases, since they are ill mainly in childhood. We are talking about the most common, such as measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpox.
Among the common signs of these diseases, they are extremely contagious, infection occurs by airborne droplets, a febrile state, an increase in certain groups of lymph nodes and a general external manifestation – a rash on the skin. In any period of these childhood infections, serious complications can develop as a result of the attachment of a secondary infection or under the influence of other negative factors: extensive damage to the central nervous system, meningitis, encephalitis, pancreatitis, orchitis, loss of vision, myocarditis.
